Then, at the bottom, write your first small goal along with the first action to reach it. Continue this process for the next goals and their actions, creating steps for each. You can add dates, fun drawings, or anything else that makes the goal ladder more motivating!

Today, we will do the activity "Managing Negative Thoughts for a Positive Mind." This exercise is designed to boost your child's socio-emotional skills, including ethical judgment, help-giving, and help-seeking abilities.

To begin, you will need a sheet of paper or a chart and some colored pens. Have your child draw a large ant in the center of the sheet, surrounded by a few cloud-like boxes. Explain that "ANTs" (Automatic Negative Thoughts) can feel overwhelming, but they can be challenged and controlled.

Encourage your child to recognize these thoughts and then ask themselves:

• Is this thought true?
• Does this thought help me in any way?
• Is there another way to look at this situation?
• What advice would I give a friend who had this thought?

The answers to these questions can be written in the cloud-like boxes around the ant. This activity helps your child see that there are more balanced, positive ways to view situations, reducing the impact of negative thoughts crawling through their mind.
